DES helps Brisbane printer get spot on results

Brisbane-based Spot Productions obtains Mellow Colour’s ISO Proficient Printer status from DES and joined the 100 Club.

As proficient printers, the company has received training from DES in the practical implementation of ISO 12647 and proven their competency in the operation of Mellow Colour’s PrintSpec Colour QA System.

Entry to the 100 Club is recognition that Spot Productions are capable of producing work 100 per cent in compliance with the tight targets and tolerances of the Mellow Colour quality management system.

“By qualifying for the 100 Club, Spot Productions have demonstrated they are capable of producing consistently high standard print. This is a major quality statement for Spots existing and potential customers,” said DES national sales director, Russell Cavenagh.

It has been managing director Simon Carmody’s (pictured) goal for some time for Spot Productions to achieve ISO certification. “Printing to the ISO colour management’s standard is essential when time and distance only allows for PDF on-screen proofing. We have prided ourselves on our service and quality as one of the leading suppliers to Brisbane Advertising Agencies and Designers,” Carmody said.

“With the introduction of PRINTSPEC, along with the expertise from DES, we now have the measureable DATA to back up our claims.”
