DES wins two APAC regional awards

DES Managing Director Ian Clare accepted the two APAC regional awards for outstanding contribution to Vutek and software sales at the EFI Conference and Awards Ceremony held in Shanghai, from 12 to 14 May.

Clare says it was a fantastic result, a testament to the professionalism and skills behind DES’s sales and support team. “A recognition for the hard work they have done in getting significant market share for those products. It’s also recognition of DES’s performance to get these products in a market leading position.”

Despite placing second in 2010 sales behind Chinese distributor, Fortuna, its Q1 2011 sales of VUTEk flatbed printers have given it the market edge. Sales of the VUTEk GS3200, two with Media Master automated loading and unloading systems, in each month of the quarter have placed it ahead of global and local competitors.

According to Clare (pictured), DES was also awarded for its achievement as the top vendor of Colorproof and Fiery software in the region. “Winning this award has recognised DES as a leading Australian provider of RIPs and colour management solutions for the ANZ Proofing and Production markets.”

“We will continue to strive to be on the top of our game. We have some good products that Vutek are manufacturing at the moment, and are looking at expanding the market share of those products,” said Clare.
