DIC selects PrintSpec ISO solution

DIC Australia helps customers with printing to ISO and the move towards PSO certification.

At PacPrint, DIC has introduced Mellow Colour PrintSpec ISO 12647 colour quality control and verification software to their existing and new customers to help them achieve their goals.

Divisional Manager for DIC Australia, Roger Gee believes the teh software offers a number of advantages to customers. “Inks are an integral part of printing to ISO standards, and DIC have introduced a special ink set, Exact PSO process set that has been developed to allow printers to most closely hit desired ISO targets," he said. "We see the introduction of the PrintSpec software and ISO consulting service as integral with this new ink.”

These thoughts were reiterated by David Crowther, DES colour specialist. "PacPrint provides the ideal platform to showcase an extended and enhanced range of products that improve efficiency for printers and ensure that customers receive accurate and consistent colour,” said Crowther.

As part of Pacprint, DIC will offer a free PrintSpec ISO colour health checks which helps take the first step towards improving efficiency for printers. Demonstrating fast colour measurement from printed sheets and intuitive trend analysis, Alan Dresch, of Mellow Colour UK will be on the DES stand offering printers the opportunity to put their prints to the test with a free PrintSpec ISO colour health check.  Any organisations can take this first step to check where their print curtly sits against the ISO 12647-2 standard.

Prior to the attending show, visitors can log onto www.des-pl.com.au/colourhealthcheck and download the free PrintSpec Control Strip. This can be printed along with a production job, via the printers normal workflow and brought along to the stand for an on the spot check and PrintSpec report.

DES believes that PrintSpec offers a distinct marketing advantage in colour critical printing. Printing to common standard such as ISO 12647or PSO, is attractive to the Print Buyer, who can then rely on a supplier to offer consistent colour, job –to job, and to international targets and tolerances.
