Digital product tester expands into the Asia Pacific

The company field tests digital printing engines and reports on the performance of imaging products shortly after they hit the market, evaluating features like print productivity, image quality and ease of use.

John Donnelly, managing director of BLI International, notes that while the company has served the imaging industry for nearly 45 years, up until now it has focussed mainly on the US market. “Over the past several years we have received an increasing level of interest in our products and services from the Asia region,” he says.

Donnelly emphasises that in addition to it being a large market for imaging equipment, the Asia Pacific region is also where many of the major manufacturers are located. “Given the long term potential growth of the Asian market, as well as the strategic importance of Asia to the imaging industry, it seemed a logical step for BLI to expand into the region,” he says.

As the first step of its expansion into the region, BLI has released field test reports on several products from Fuji Xerox. The Document Centre C250 and 286CP, as well as the DocuCentre C5540, were all put through their paces by BLI technicians in Singapore, each securing a five star rating.

Ken Nardone, technical manager at BLI, claims the devices demonstrate impressive value and image quality. “The units offer extensive job reserves, as well as good overall ease of use when programming copy and print jobs and replenishing supplies,” he says.

BLI has provided its customers testing reports for nearly 45 years, covering a wide range of imaging devices as well as other copiers, printers, fax machines and multifunctional products, and has a database that covers close to 8,000 products. It currently has over 10,000 customers worldwide.
