DocuColor 7000 launched in the US

The DocuColor 7000 is targeted as the machine to bridge the gap between the 6060 and the 8000, retaining all the features of its DocuColor brethren and clocking in at a speed of 70 pages per minute. The machine will be rolled out in the UK in June, with a release confirmed for Australia towards the end of the year.

Henryk Kraszewski from Fuji Xerox Australia claims the new machine will extend the breadth of the DocuColor range even further. “The 7000 model features the same technology as the other DocuColor machines, introducing a different productivity level at a lower price range,” he says. “We're still working through the launch process for the region at this stage, and look forward to bringing it to the local markets.”

DocuColor UK marketing manager Kevin O'Donnell claims the 7000 fits snugly into the existing DocuColor range. “It fills the space between the 6060 and the 8000,” he says. “A lot of our customers would like the 8000 but can't stretch to it, and it allows us to compete even more effectively with other 70ppm machines.”

iGen3 at PacPrint

Meanwhile, great attention is focused on the Fuji Xerox stand at PacPrint where the iGen3 will take centre stage. Flanked by one of the largest arrays of colour and monochrome digital presses, the iGen3 will be asserting its position as the company's flagship product.

A comprehensive timetable of business and technology presentations from Fuji Xerox is certain to attract large numbers of industry professionals.
