Drupa offers a feast of technology – but be prepared . . .

They are among the most common ingredients found in the technological kitchen that is drupa, the world’s biggest printing industry trade show. However be warned - while being pleasant at most times – just like good food, it can also give you indigestion if not properly planned for.

There are remedies to fix these problems and Printing Industries is providing the most important one of these via drupa briefings in Sydney and Melbourne in conjunction with Messe Düsseldorf.

These sessions will cover travel through to accommodation options and planning principles to maximise the drupa experience, an insight into what drupa has to offer, presentations by key industry suppliers and, of course, German hospitality.

Local and international guest speakers will be on hand to share the drupa 2008 experience and, in the case of veteran drupa visitor and industry identity, Ron Patterson, to share some humorous insights, intelligence and anecdotes every potential tripper needs to have as they begin to plan their drupa experience.

Patterson will provide a light-hearted look at the best ways of digesting drupa beginning with the kind of preparation that should begin now, even though the event is more than 12 months away.

“Drupa, because of its sheer scale is like a big meal. Try to take it in too quickly and it can give you indigestion. But prepare for it correctly and it will be an absolute delight,” he said.

He is supporting keynoter speaker drupa 2008 director Manuel Mataré who will be in Australia promoting the exhibition of behalf of Messe Düsseldorf. Supply industry speakers will feature from a number of major companies including Fuji Xerox and PaperlinX.

The briefings will be held in Sydney on Monday 30 April 2007 at the Stamford Grand North Ryde, corner Epping & Herring Roads, North Ryde from 4:30pm – 7pm and in Melbourne on Tuesday 1 May 2007 at the Novotel Glen Waverley, 285-287 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley from 4pm – 6:30pm.
