Gold Coast printer Ecoprint is offering a new licence opportunity which it says will enable designers and anyone with some prepress knowledge the ability to sell print themselves.

Owner of the 16-year-old business Steven Vawdrey says the new development is a way for his company to expand nationally, and for licence holders to be able to offer print to the market. He said, “We will provide everything the licence holder needs in quoting and production, the licence holders just need to focus on sales and client management.”

Prices for licences vary from $75 a month in towns such as Orange, Albany and Devonport, through to $500 a month in Brisbane and Perth, up to $900 in Melbourne and $1000 for Sydney. Vawdrey said, “The licences will be territorial.” Licence holders require no physical print machinery.

Ecoprint has offset and HP Indigo printing inhouse. Vawdrey told Print21, “We will print and dispatch.” Vawdrey says he has so far been having a good response from Queensland and is now looking to gain licence holders from NSW and Victoria.

Products sold through Ecoprint are predominantly business cards, flyers and stationery for small to medium sized business.

The Ecoprint in question is not to be confused with Ecodesign-Ecoprint in Mortdale NSW.
