EFI brings music to ears of Barrier Signs

Steven Bertram of Barrier Signs in Taree wins EFI and DES promotion at FESPA.

Bertram was presented with an iPod by Ian Clare of DES at a special ‘bier und canapés’ event for Aussie and Kiwi visitors to FESPA. Georgie Beaumont from Visual Solutions in Melbourne was given the task of drawing out the winning name, while the European EFI team made sure the draw was made in accordance with German lottery rules.

“We all held a bottle of beer in hand while the winner’s name was drawn,” said Phillip Burns from DES.

Burns was based on EFI’s stand at FESPA, which the company says was its most successful European trade show to date. FESPA saw the latest digital inkjet technology including the VUTEk GS3200, GS5000r and the new high-productivity QS3250r UV roll-to-roll superwide printers, the Rastek T1000 and H650 wide-format UV printers, and the Jetrion 4830 digital label press.

According to Burns, there was strong interest in EFI’s new VUTEk MediaMaster, a material handling system that enables customers to fully utilize the maximum speed of the GS3200.

“In the screen print market where productivity is crucial, the MediaMaster is going to help drive the analogue to digital transition because customers will be able to fully utilise the maximum speed of the GS3200,” he said.
