Eizo eye test gets 50/50 vision
Almost half the people who took the Eizo sight test at PacPrint could not tell the difference between the colour-calibrated monitor and the printed page.
According to Matthew Bauer, Oceania territory manager, the purpose of the demo was to show how Eizo monitors can match the hard copy exactly – as shown by the fact that about 50 per cent of viewers got it wrong. The monitor matched a printed page with the same image on the screen of an Eizo monitor.
“Eizo gives you the controls to match the colours on the proof, saving consumables on the press,” said Bauer.
Which is which? asks Matthew Bauer and Penny Swinfield at the Eizo stand.
The monitor market is highly competitive, but Bauer believes Eizo is well equipped to stay at the forefront, as it is equipped with the local support from 15 staff who can manage all services in-house. The PacPrint show was a success for Eizo. Bauer reported that all 70 demo units on the stands at PacPrint have been sold.
“We’ve made a commitment for the long-term,” Bauer added.
