Eliot Harper snaps up Taopix photobook software
Photobook software supplier. Taopix, picks Eliot Harper as its Australian distributor.
Harper, (pictured) who runs the consultancy, Eliot & Company, and last month staged the Connect09 conference in Sydney, now intends to introduce the software to Australia, where he sees a strong market for photobooks.
“With a $389 million revenue opportunity in the US alone last year, the photo gifting and merchandise market opens up a new world of revenue streams,” he said.
Taopix released its version 2.5 this week, which includes new features such as four Wizard Genie options to suit the level of experience and interaction required; a calendar module to simplify building calendars and a proof-book function that automatically generates a sample photo book. A Starter Kit will be launched next month.
Harper predicts a boom in the photobook take-up locally. “The markets in Europe and the US have exploded in recent years and there is no reason why Australia won’t follow suit,” he said.
