Entries open for 2009 HP Digital Print Awards
Second annual Asia Pacific and Japan Print Awards is now accepting submissions.
The HP Digital Print Awards programme was founded in 2008 to recognise outstanding print achievements and innovations using HP Indigo presses in the print and packaging industries across Asia Pacific and Japan.
“Last year’s awards programme was an overwhelming success, attracting more than 200 submissions from 12 countries in Asia Pacific. This year we expect even greater participation with the addition of four new categories,” said VS Hariharan, (pictured) vice president of graphic solutions business, HP imaging and printing group.

The annual Award Dinner, where winning entries will be showcased, is being held in conjunction with the InfoTrends Digital Printing Seminar 2009 in Beijing on 11th May 2009.
Recognising the need to provide platforms for printing and packaging industry professionals to showcase their work, HP has expanded this year’s contest to twelve categories:
Commercial Press Categories: Marketing Collaterals; Limited Editions and Art Reproductions; Books and Manuals Printing; Photo Books/ Coffee Table Books; Specialty Printing; Events and campaigns; Direct Mailers and Packaging Printing.
Industrial Press: Labels & Labels; Flexible Packaging; Pharmaceutical labels and Security Labels
“Through the HP Digital Print Awards, we recognise the extraordinary efforts of the top HP Indigo printers and packagers in the region, and use the programme to share best practices to inspire others in the region,” added VS Hariharan.
Applications for the HP Digital Print Awards 2009 will close 31 March 2009. This year’s winners will be notified by 15th April 2009 and the results will officially be announced during the Award Dinner on 11th May 2009, where the winning jobs will also be showcased.
