February launch in Australia and New Zealand for new Creo printing plate
Well known industry identity, Safwen Hijazi (pictured), Creo digital media director Asia Pacific, is responsible for introducing the new Creo PTP printing plates in the region. As industry interest grows he has confirmed that the first stock of the new thermal plates has already landed in Australia and entered the logistics chain. The plates will be launched in the latter part of February as soon as the extensive support system is in place.
"I don't want to rush into this. Creo is focused on its customer's welfare and we will only begin to supply the products once we are certain we can deliver the high level of service and support our customers have come to expect from Creo," he said.
Many Creo customers have expressed keen interest in moving to the new PTP products that are set to roll out in Australia and New Zealand early this year.
“We certainly have no shortage of willing customers. Already there is a queue of takers for the new plates when they arrive. We will make a significant impact on the market,” said Derek Fretwell, acting sales director Creo Australia and New Zealand.
He said that personnel had already been hired to implement the comprehensive support system Creo will have in place when the first plates arrive. A complete logistics system, utilising DHL, is growing apace as the industry awaits one of the major supply side changes in years.
Optimised for use with industry-leading Creo Computer-To-Plate (CTP) output devices such as the Trendsetter and Lotem platesetters, Creo PTP are designed to get the most from the market leader Creo systems. But according to Mark Wilton, marketing manager, the plates will work well on any thermal imaging system.
“This is another option for customers amongst the twenty plus certified plates already approved on the market that are compatible with Creo CTP devices. We can and will provide the solution that best fits the customers needs.”
The specifications for PTP demonstrate its ability to offer consistent on-press performance and ease-of-use, thereby helping you maximize your productivity and profitability.
