The latest management tool for digital printers comes as a built-in feature of the latest Fiery Workstation 5.6 upgrade. It allows all Fiery Driven devices to report data in real time.

Piloting a digital print business on a day-to-day basis demands a sophisticated view of the entire process. Until now only investment in a major management system could deliver the kind of metrics required to get an overall view of the business.

Now the cloud-based Fiery Dashboard delivers an in-depth breakdown of how the work is progressing through your printing operation. It monitors and tracks print production statistics from one or more Fiery driven devices and visually represents the data through multiple widgets. Users get instant snapshot of operational efficiency and engine utilization.

According to Anthony Parnemann, EFI regional manager, the Dashboard will give printers a new level of insight into just how their business is operating.

“The Dashboard has only just come out but I understand the number of downloads is very high. The Fiery Dashboard is just the kind of operational control that printer have been looking for,” he said.

Because the Dashboard is cloud-based it is available 24/7 for printers to access from anywhere from a standard internet browser. It delivers everything a printer needs to know at every level of detail from high-level metrics to underlying data,  by the day, week, month, year — or anything in between.

On a more in-depth level the data can inform owners on the best utilization of existing print engines helping to make decisions about new purchases. It reduces management costs with concise information on workloads helping to plan staffing levels.

Operating through the Fiery Dashboard is secure as only EFI can make it. SSL encryption ensures business information will not be intercepted and sensitive data is safe. Protected account credentials guarantee a private communication channel between the printer’ account and the Fiery Dashboard website.

“Getting the Dashboard is easy. It is now a feature of the latest Fiery Command Workstation 5.6. All you have to do is log on and register and you’ll be set. I expect most printers will want to access the benefits as soon as they can,” said Parnemann (pictured right).

The Dashboard is just one of a number of features with the new 5.6. It joins such options as the Fiery ImageViewer 2.0 in the Graphic Arts Package, Premium Edition. This allows operators to perform real-time colour edits on a full resolution raster preview.
