Final call for Pride In Print entries
The last chance for entries for the 2009 Pride In Print Awards is soon approaching, with the final deadline for last-minute entries set for the close of business on Friday, 27 February.
Pride In Print Awards manager, Sue Archibald, (pictured) said that the deadline was the last-possible date for late entries, as it gives Pride In Print only one week to prepare all materials, catalogue them and ship them up to Auckland for the judging.
“With the potential for international marketing success and global exposure that flowed on from last year’s Awards – including Auckland-based firm Logick Print & Graphics going on to win a top prize at the world’s premier packaging awards, the Pentawards in Monaco – printing industry managers should make use of this last chance for entries,” she said.

All winning work will be on display in the Wellington Convention Centre – in the heart of Wellington – for five days after the Award winners are announced. Sue has also been communicating with the organisers of the PacPrint 2009 exhibition in Melbourne in late May and the Supreme Award Winner and Supreme Award Finalists will be placed on display at this exhibition.
“Success in the Awards has tremendous PR value both externally and internally, in terms of giving employees a sense of achievement and craftsmanship,” she said.
“Entries cost $80 and I strongly recommend firms to use these last few days to assemble their entries before the end of next week.”
Entries are open for materials printed in New Zealand between 1 January 2008 and 31 December 2008. Entries can be from any printing process and can be made by any person or company associated with the production or purchase of print.
Judging involves experts from throughout the Print and Design Industry and is based on excellence in all facets of the production process. Good design forms part of this judgement, as does the effective and innovative use of materials.
More than one Gold Medal may be presented in any category. Category Winners are selected from all Gold Medal-winning work and the Supreme Award is chosen from these finalists.
