Final reminder for Department of Treasury and Finance's briefing session

Printers get ready for tomorrow’s briefing session on Department of Treasury and Finance’s RFI.

The briefing session will go ahead at 3.00pm Wednesday 9 June 2010 at the Treasury Theatre, 1 Treasury Place, East Melbourne.

The department has indicated that in addition to questions from print managers, they would be happy to take questions from printing company representatives too.

Reiterating the rationale for the meeting, the Victorian Government is looking for an independent print manager to deliver print management services and a complimentary on-line print management system. According to the available documentation, the services volume-spend has been in the vicinity of $14.6 million annually. How the final print procurement model will operate does not appear to have been finalised and may be influenced by the results of the RFI. The RFI does represent a change in the way the Victorian Government has undertaken its print procurement during the past few years.
