Fogra colour specialist calls in on Australia

Online registration is now open to attend Australian industry dinner meetings with the head of Fogra’s Prepress Division, Andreas Kraushaar.

The Australian industry functions will be held in Melbourne on 24 February, Sydney 25 February and Brisbane 26 February The event is sponsored by Kayell Australia and Epson.

Kraushaar (pictured) will bring his perspective on the current state of worldwide print and his beliefs of what the printing industry needs to do to survive and grow through the challenging years ahead.

As the head of Fogra’s Prepress Division, Kraushaar will focus on using colour management as a competitive and profitable tool.

His visit has been organised by the Australian TC130, a joint venture of the Printing Industries Association of Australia and the Lithographic Institute of Australia, promoting the implementation of international standards into the Australian market as a means of ensuring that our industry can compete on a global basis.

Kraushaar was born in Kreuzebra Germany, and has a Masters degree in media technology from the Technical University, llmenau. He is also completing a doctoral degree from Aachen University. Kraushaar was also a visiting researcher at the Munsell Colour Science laboratory in 2004.

He is responsible for research in the fields of colour management, pre flighting production data and contract colour proofing. He is also responsible for Fogra seminars focused on colour management and related topics.
