Fogra ranks Color Copy number one for quality
Fogra test names Mondi’s brand of colour laser paper, Color Copy, as the benchmark leader in total print quality.
The news comes after Fogra was asked to objectively measure papers in terms of digital laser printing quality concerning print density, image sharpness and toner fixing. The results are included in the Color Copy benchmark study for 2009.
“We are very pleased with the results of the Color Copy 2009 benchmark. Being ranked number one reflects our dedication to innovation and the continuous improvement of Color Copy and enables us to retain our position as the leader in colour laser papers,” said Mark Ushpol, sales and marketing director at Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper.
“We are also very pleased that our entire Color Copy portfolio is now FSC certified, which also underlines our commitment to achieving our sustainability goals and ensure future success.”
Color Copy is produced at the Mondi Neusiedler mills in Theresienthal and Kematen, Lower Austria. Working together with the marketing and technical customer service team, the mill investigated areas for further optimisation in detail and after a number of trials on the paper machine, a new benchmark study of the adjusted quality was initiated with Fogra. The resulting 2009 benchmark confirms an improvement in specific areas and reaffirms Color Copy’s leading position in total print quality for colour laser papers.
The Color Copy benchmark includes the 12 most important paper grades in 100 gsm especially designed for colour printing and copying. Tests were conducted on different critical digital colour laser machines from leading manufacturers. Four specific areas were analysed in determining the overall ranking: print quality, runnability, appearance, and physical properties.
