It's becoming a recognised stroke at the LATMA charity golf day at Carnarvon Golf Club in Sydney for the Jet Technologies team breezing through again to take the title.
This year product managers Darryl Wilson and Martin McEwen, and sales director David Reece, finished six under par on October 13 to win the coveted prize: a set of golf balls, hats, and a bottle of red wine. "We have already drunk the wine, it wasn’t bad," grinned a jubilant Wilson.
The Jet Tech team won last year's tournament as well, and were not expecting to capture their second consecutive title - but are glad they did. "There was a group in front of us who were very good golfers and we perhaps thought they’d won it, but we were pleasantly surprised to find out that we’d won after all," said Wilson.
Wilson puts the win down to good luck and teamwork. "We’re a pretty good group, we play golf pretty regularly. It’s like everything, it comes together on the day for you. Next year our plan is to go out there and have fun, but of course we’re hoping to win it again," he said.
The annual LATMA event was held to raise money for the Children's Hospital at Westmead.
