Sydney-based print management firm Forum Group has acquired competitor Imagetech Solutions in the latest consolidation move in the Australian print services market.
The deal creates a combined company with revenues exceeding $75 million.
“We’re very happy with the deal and we're looking forward to a seamless transition of Imagetech staff from their site at Macquarie Park into our headquarters at St Leonards in Sydney,” says Bill Papas, CEO Forum Group.
The acquisition will add value to Imagetec customers through enhanced products, solutions and financing, and deliver benefits to existing Forum customers by harnessing Imagetech’s decades of service and operations experience, he says.
“Imagetech has obviously been around a long time and has enjoyed years of successful transactions with its customers. We’ll be integrating those customers into Forum and the combined group will also allow us to leverage distribution services.”
Imagetech is a national print services provider with offices around the country. About 50 staff members will be integrated into Forum Group businesses, most of them in Sydney.
Imagetech CEO Craig Rollinson (pictured) is staying on with the company.
“We’re delighted that Craig is coming on board and he has a fantastic record over many years of continuing to improve the business,” says Papas.
Forum, established 2011, has made a number of acquisitions over the past five years to establish itself in several capital cities.
“Forum Group has only been around a relatively short time but our team has a wealth of industry experience and we’ve always on the lookout for ideal opportunities in the marketplace,” says Papas. “Innovation and software solutions are the key to our success.”
The company was recognised by BRW as a top 10 ‘Fast Starter’ business in 2014.
Forum Group provides solutions across print, IT, fleet and environmental sustainability and has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Perth.
