Franchises snap up new Fuji Xerox equipment

Snap Printing teams up with Fuji Xerox in a partnership to update and install new digital technology.

Over the period of the few months, Snap Printing franchise owners have installed eight DocuColor 8000AP digital presses and another eight of the DocuColor 5000.

"We are delighted with the agreement, which enables our Snap Printing
franchise owners to install either the new DocuColor 8000AP or DocuColor
5000 digital colour press, making an easy upgrade path available
nationally," said Simon Dodd, national manager, business support, Snap
Printing.

Campbell Hare, Snap Printing Dandenong, installed a new DocuColor 8000AP
late in 2007. An offset hub, servicing three shops and taking overspill from
others, Snap Printing Dandenong realised productivity benefits from the new
digital press in less than a month.

"The colour quality, consistency and ability to print at the rated speed on
heavier card stocks are all huge benefits. The price point also means we are
able to migrate those longer runs - up to 5000 - away from the offset
presses. With digital we don't have the makeready time, so our ability to
deliver jobs quickly has now increased. By the end of 2008, I would expect
to have grown our colour volume by at least forty per cent as a direct
result of the new DC8000AP," said Hare.

The decision to install and upgrade is made by each Snap Printing
franchise owner individually, but Dodd said the agreement brings benefits across
the franchise group.

"By working with us nationally, Fuji Xerox has enabled Snap Printing to
upgrade an ageing colour fleet more efficiently. It allows Snap Printing
centres to attract greater volumes of digital colour, and migrate offset
work to digital with the associated benefits of quick job turnaround."

Sam Holden, national franchise manager, Fuji Xerox, says he is delighted
that Fuji Xerox's role as a Snap Gold Partner is helping support the overall
franchise objective of digital print growth.

"Not only is Fuji Xerox enabling great productivity upgrades but also
providing stepping stones to continued digital growth. As an alternative to
the DocuColor 8000AP, the highly productive DocuColor 5000 fits those
environments servicing lower print volumes," said Holden.
