Fuji Xerox and XMPie lend a hand to RMIT University.
The need to learn about personalised mail and customised marketing is greater than ever, and behind the reason to introduce XMPie technology to students, according to Billy Atta, digital production teacher, RMIT.
"By combining XMPie's dynamic cross media publishing tools with Fuji Xerox's advanced experience of using variable data to compliment digital production, RMIT is able to offer the most relevant and cutting-edge digital production, multimedia and print machining courses in the country," he said.
The agreement sees Fuji Xerox donating an XMPie PersonalEffect site licence that provides unlimited licences of all programs within the XMPie software suite. RMIT is currently using XMPie PersonalEffect server for cross media campaigns and has installed uDirect desktop software in its labs. RMIT staff and students believe that XMPie personalisation software products are ideal for the creation of flexible applications in the classroom.
"XMPie's implementation of VDP technology is user-friendly, intuitive, straightforward to learn and has the flexibility to allow for a broad scope of application," said Tom Sangster, an RMIT student undertaking a diploma of digital production.
Atta said that RMIT has welcomed the alignment with Fuji Xerox. "It's a strong partnership of which we are extremely proud," he said.
"We appreciate the opportunity to leverage this world-class software and know-how for the greater advantage of our students and the ultimate benefit of the industry as a whole."
