Fuji Xerox Australia Invites Customers to Showcase Printing Innovations at 2009 PIXI Awards

Print providers using Fuji Xerox digital equipment throughout Australia are invited to showcase their innovative digital printing capabilities as part of the 2009 Printing Innovation with Xerox Imaging (PIXI) Awards.

Targeting the most dynamic printers in the Asia Pacific digital printing industry, the PIXI awards reward excellence and innovation in the categories Collateral, Books and Manuals, Direct Marketing, Trans/Promo and New Business Applications. For the second year in a row, Australian print providers will go head-to-head with leading printers from 13 countries in the APAC region to compete for several PIXI awards, with entries closing on June 30th 2009.

“The awards are a great way for Fuji Xerox customers in Australia to promote their unique approach to digital print production at a regional level,” said Brett Maishman, National Commercial Print Business Manager, Fuji Xerox Australia.

“Australian print providers have proved last year that they are up to the test, with three of our best scooping an award for exceptional printed projects. I encourage all of our customers in the digital print space to submit their applications this year as this is an invaluable opportunity to gain international recognition.”

Last year, for the first time, three Australian print providers each received a PIXI award after competing with more than 800 printers from around the world for 42 PIXI awards. The Digital Centre, based in St Leonards in Sydney, won first prize in the ‘Books and Manuals’ category for its submission, ‘Body of Work – Free Spirit’ in the global judging section held in New York. Griffin Digital (PMP Limited) received an honourable mention for their entry in the same category. Blue Star GO, a division of the trans–Tasman Blue Star Print Group, won the ‘Best in Region’ prize during regional judging in Singapore.

The 2009 awards are judged by a panel of international leaders from the graphic arts industry. Australian winners will be recognised at the Fuji Xerox Innovate 09 conference to be held on October 7th in the Gold Coast as well as the Asia Pacific Premier Partner conference which is taking place in November in Korea.

Entries, which must be produced on Fuji Xerox Digital equipment, can be submitted in any of the following categories:
