Fuji Xerox has inked a deal with Screen Graphic and Precision Solutions to resell the flagship Screen Truepress Jet W3200UV flatbed UV machine in Australia.
The agreement is part of a strategy by Fuji Xerox to move further into wide format products. "This was a good move for us because it’s a robust machine, and it fits in an interesting niche where it’s not super grand format and it’s not too entry level. It has quite a good mix of good productivity without being too great an investment, which a lot of grand format machines tend to be," said Mark Brown, Marketing Manager - Production Technology at Fuji Xerox.
Brown said the new addition to the Fuji Xerox stable would give the company the chance to expand its market share among new and existing customers. "We have a high profile in the industry. There’s companies that enjoy dealing with Fuji Xerox, and for those companies it’s easy to continue that relationship but into a different area where previously we haven’t had that equipment.
"It opens up some opportunities for us in companies who specialize in outdoor wide format, where traditionally we’ve been known as an indoor wide format supplier. It also gives an opportunity to offer companies who specialize in wide format our selection of cut sheet commercial print products as well," he said.
Peter Scott, Managing Director Screen GP, welcomed the deal, saying it would open up new business opportunities for Fuji Xerox customers. "The W3200UV is a perfect partner for Xerox iGen Press customers wanting to tap into the signage and display market," he said.
Scott said that the new offering fills a gap in Fuji Xerox's wide-format product line. “Fuji Xerox Australia had an identifiable need for a high-production 3.2 metre model with roll feed option. Our existing Australian and New Zealand installations have proven that this is a very robust machine – made by Inca Digital in the UK – that can meet the demands of intensive production peaks reliably and with very high quality," he said.
