Fuji Xerox launches new DocuColor 6060

The latest in the DocuColor family of digital presses has yet again ‘upped the ante’ when it comes to providing high quality digital colour printing.

“The DocuColor 2045 and 2060 have a proven track record of delivering consistent, high quality print, reliably and profitably. Over 120 customers around Australia and more than 6,000 worldwide, have made their choice and adopted these solutions to meet their digital colour printing needs,” said Henryk Kraszewski, production colour manager.

“The DocuColor 6060 raises the bar in delivering impeccable results with digital colour printing, proving that digital print has earned its place in the print room,” he said. “Our customers can say ’yes’ to a wider range of jobs, with greater volume and increased profitability. It really is the workhorse solution for today’s commercial, in-plant and quick printers.”

The DocuColor 6060 complements the successful DocuColor 2000 series of digital colour presses. It offers a more advanced set of features and capabilities that appeal to customers needing a flexible and productive digital press.

It prints at a rate of up to 3,600 A4 images per hour, offers a resolution of 600 x 600 pixels per inch with a full eights bits of colour depth per pixel. When printing on heavyweight stocks, the print speed of the DocuColor 6060 has increased by as much as 50% over previous Xerox models.

Furthermore, the press is one of only a few that can print on such a wide array of paper and stock, such as 64 gsm lightweight paper to as high as 300 gsm cover stock. The enhanced range of paper and stocks can be loaded in any of the four ‘all purpose’ trays (two standard, two optional). This lets commercial printers use as many as four different stocks automatically in a single job or load an unprecedented 8,000 sheets.

Advanced paper capacity, combined with the ability to load toner and paper as it runs, enables virtually non-stop printing.

“The DocuColor family is all about choice and flexibility. The DocuColor 6060 delivers everything that the graphic arts industry has been waiting for. High-speed, high quality digital colour teamed with affordability,” said Kraszewski.
