Fuji Xerox powers up with two Energex awards

A commitment to sustainability sees Fuji Xerox win two annual Energex Supplier Quality Awards.

Fuji Xerox Australia has supplied document management hardware and software solutions to Energex since 2004 and is also responsible for product support and maintenance. Fuji Xerox Australia scored two out of eight awards, including the inaugural Innovations in Sustainability award as well as the Professional Services Commercial award.

The annual Energex Supplier Quality Awards recognise the exceptional achievements of the company’s 5000 suppliers, with only 50 companies short-listed every year. With Fuji Xerox’s help, Energex has increased print efficiency, reduced paper wastage, and also reduced the carbon footprint of multifunction printing devices by 10 per cent in the last five years.

According to Garry Gray, Queensland state manager at Fuji Xerox Australia, the company aims to achieve sustainable outcomes for customers. “Our technology and services are designed to improve sustainability performance, from environmentally responsible product design and energy efficiency enhancements to improving the efficiency of document intensive business processes” he said.

Sharyn Scriven, group manager procurement, Energex praised the collaboration between the two companies. “Our partnership with Fuji Xerox has enabled Energex to change internal attitudes and behaviours in regards to sustainability,” she said. “As a result, we’ve increased productivity, taken better control of costs and reduced our environmental impact.”
