Fuji Xerox Australia is securing its place within the rapidly growing numbers of PacPrint exhibitors selling new machinery straight from the stand, with the company signing a deal with Queensland printer Spot Productions for a Color 1000 and Melbourne’s Minuteman Press for a Color Press 800.
The company says it has also seen continued interest in the iGen 150 piloted in Australia by The Digital Centre, Artarmon, while the new DocuWide C842 wide-format printer has attracted nearly 40 customer engagements at the time of writing.
For Simon Lane, Fuji Xerox Australia’s executive general manager and chief marketing officer, the response from customers this year has been very encouraging.
“We are absolutely delighted with the feedback and engagement with our customers this year at PacPrint, it’s great to see that the support for the print industry now and well into the future is so strong,” he says.
Simon Crabtree, owner of Minuteman Press, Glen Waverley in Victoria, says the company had developed a long history with Fuji Xerox Color presses prior to signing the deal for the Color Press 800 this week.

“This is actually the second investment in the Color 800 press as we’ve seen tremendous print quality and turnaround times using this device already,” says Crabtree. “Our second installation will allow us to grow our business more aggressively and service even higher volumes.
“Our customers require consistent quality for large print jobs while there is no sacrifice on quality. With the Color 800 we know we’ll see reliable and consistent results whether it’s ‘print one’ - or print 50,000,” he says.
PacPrint has also been the first on-show signing of a Color 1000 by Spot Productions. Simon Carmody, owner of the Queensland printer says, “we have chosen to complement our digital offerings by adding a Color 1000 to our 2 x Color 700s.
“The new flat finish toner and increased output speed made the choice easier. Printing duplex on board weight will see major time-savings along with efficiency across our whole digital department! We have been very happy with Fuji Xerox Australia’s quality and service for many years and look forward to working closely in the future,” he says.
