Fuji Xerox shows way of the future at drupa 2004
Xerox will have a massive presence offering solutions for all at Düsseldorf.

Fuji Xerox Australia (FXA) will unveil the future of printing at drupa 2004, May 6 – 19 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Joining Xerox in Hall 13 with a dedicated 3,500 square metres of space, Fuji Xerox Australia will reveal to its customers the latest print and workflow solutions for the commercial print, quick print, book publishing, service bureau and creative markets.
“Xerox will present its widest ever array of digital production systems, solutions and services at drupa 2004. Key will be the new Xerox FreeFlow Digital Workflow Collection with demonstrations of real life applications that define the ‘New Business of Printing’," said FXA’s Graphic Arts Marketing Manager Brett Maishman (pictured).
The colour technologies will include multiple DocuColor iGen3s and DocuColor 6060s. From the black & white perspective, Xerox will be launching the new DocuTech platform, which are yet to be released to the Australian market.”
Xerox @ drupa 04: guiding the industry into the ‘way of the future’ with digital print
According to Maishman, drupa 2004 will be a revolutionary event for Xerox.
“The business of digital printing is changing and re-defining itself as we speak. drupa 2004 provides a platform to demonstrate to the international graphic arts market how Xerox is adapting to and meeting these changes. We will demonstrate how high-end digital colour and black & white production solutions can be applied across the print market, from commercial printers to mailing houses and service bureaus.”
Real life applications on show in the Xerox hall will include full colour inline books produced on the DocuColor iGen3, and fully personalised colour direct mail pieces printed on the DocuColor 6060. Working with software partners EFI and Creo, Xerox will show complete ‘end to end’ workflow solutions. Xerox will also be working with a variety of finishing partners to display innovative applications at the show.
“One of our key aims at drupa this year is to demonstrate the breadth and depth of the applications that customers can achieve with our technology. Whether that be e-fulfilment, high-quality colour variable data or even book publishing – we want guests to realise that the sky is the limit with our range of high-end digital printing solutions,” added Maishman.
‘Sneak peak’ of DocuColor iGen3

According to Fuji Xerox Australia’s Production Colour Marketing Manager Henryk Kraszewski, (pictured) drupa will present a great opportunity for customers to preview the DocuColor iGen3 before it is released in Australia later this year.
“The DocuColor iGen3 creates a new league in the world of high-end colour digital printing. With iGen3 traditional long runs become shorter, turnaround times become faster and customers have more flexibility in the types of applications they can do for their customers.”
