Fuji Xerox widens its reach with Triangle Corporation takeover

Acquisition of wide format printing company, Triangle Corporation, allows Fuji Xerox to build its presence in architectural, engineering and construction markets.

In its second strategic purchase in the last two years, Fuji Xerox has followed on from the 2008 acquisition of KAZ Group's Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) division, and is now aggressively pursuing new areas. According to managing director, Nick Kugenthiran (pictured), the company chose Triangle Corporation for its reputation in niche markets.

“This acquisition is a key part of a strategic journey to expand our technology and services offering and develop integrated document services across various industries,” he said. “It also signals a new, aggressive era in which Fuji Xerox is not only consolidating, but increasing our market leadership.”

It remains to be seen whether the Triangle Corporation will remain its identity or become integrated with Fuji Xerox. “It is too soon to comment,” said a spokesperson. “[We] will spend 90 days reviewing our options.”

Triangle Corporation's Stuart Hardeman, will retire once the acquisition is complete. He believes that his company is in good hands. "We have been working with Fuji Xerox Australia for many years now, having been the sole distributer for the company's wide format devices and it seemed to be a natural fit to sell the business," he said.

"We believe this is a positive move for both companies and that our customers and clients will gain further value as a result."

A Fuji Xerox spokesperson told Print21 that ultimately the deal will allow for a direct relationship with wide format customers. "Fuji Xerox has been in the wide format market for many years, but in the recent past has relied on Triangle Corporation to distribute the equipment," said the spokesperson.

"With the acquisition [we] are now able to foster a direct relationship with our customers in this market."
