Fujifilm keeps J-Teck inks in Australia
Fujifilm Sericol expands its presence in the digital and textile markets with the acquisition of J-Teck Ink and Coldenhove paper agencies from J-Teck Australia.
Effective from 1 February, the deal is described as being complementary for both parties. "The acquisition of J-Teck's agencies is a logical one for us," said Mark Brown, general manager, Fujifilm Sericol. "We can now offer a total supply package of digital inks, printers and paper for the textile market."
Managing director of J-Teck Australia, Wendy Bridgett, echoed these sentiments. "Fujifilm Sericol was an obvious choice for us," she said. "They have an excellent reputation, know the textile market well and have a national sales and distribution network to support the business."
Once the acquisition takes place, Bridgett will be leaving J-Teck to retire and spend more time with family. But it isn't the end for J-Teck entirely; technical manager, Andrew Marrs, will move across to Fujifilm to offer support for customers and products.
Speaking from J-Teck's headquarters in Italy, sales director, Italo Mariana welcomed the news as a positive development for the company. "We are very much looking forward to working with Fujifilm Sericol Australia and building on the great work of J-Teck Australia," he said.
