FujiFilm takes control of plate and film distribution across ANZ

FujiFilm Graphic Systems is now up and running, under the direction of FujiFilm Australia and FujiFilm NZ in each respective country. Peter Carrigan, former general manager of GSA and now heading up the new Australian FujiFilm division, says customers can expect to see some positive changes to customer service and distribution under the new arrangements.

“We hope to improve all aspects of distribution under the new FujiFilm Graphic Systems business,” says Carrigan. “While the first stage of customer service might be a little tricky as we establish new accounts with our customers, after we get over that the new arrangement will be better for everyone involved.”

GSA has been the exclusive distributor in Australia and New Zealand of the Fujifilm range of graphic arts products since April 2003. Under the new FujiFilm Graphic Systems division all of the equipment, systems and software for the local prepress sector will be provided, backed up by a service and support network run by staff specialising in all aspects of prepress production. FujiFilm also claims with the new arrangement it is gearing up for further expansion across Australia and New Zealand.

The new headquarters for FujiFilm Graphic Systems will be based at the Australia head office in Brookvale, with other offices located in Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia as well as a sub-branch in the ACT. There are also two offices in New Zealand.
