Fuji Xerox Australia has again won an Australian Packaging Covenant High Performer Award in the Communications and Electronics category, for its ongoing commitment to packaging sustainability.

It highlights the increasing importance of digital production in packaging as well as the company's commitment to sustainable practices.

“Winning the 2016 award demonstrates a sustained high standard for continuous improvement, as it follows our wins in 2014 and 2015 as well. A big congratulations goes to our cross divisional team for an award well deserved.” Said Robbie Brown, sustainability manager for Fuji Xerox Australia.

The Australian Packaging Covenant (APC) Awards were held in Sydney on 24 August, 2016. They recognise the accomplishments of business in packaging product stewardship, through their commitment and involvement with the APC.

According to Trish Hyde, APC CEO, the Awards are not just for excellence, but the best of the best among industry. “The APC is proud to acknowledge the work of our award winning signatories who have used the Covenant as a framework to demonstrate innovation, collaboration, and ongoing commitment to drive packaging sustainability and meet the goals of the Covenant.

The Australian Packaging Covenant (APC) is a sustainable packaging initiative, which aims to change the culture of business to design more sustainable packaging, increase recycling rates and reduce packaging litter. Currently almost 1,000 organisations are signatories to the APC. These signatories commit to developing an action plan, which details how they will meet the Covenant’s goals. They then report their progress against these goals in an annual report, which is independently assessed. These annual reporting scores determine which signatories are recognised as award winners.
