G2 Solutions locked in to distribute KeySetter prepress workflow tools

Expanding its Xitron prepress workflow range, Queensland-based G2 Solutions brings KeySetter ink key presetting and optimization tools over to Australia and New Zealand.
A long-time regional supplier to the prepress and graphic arts market, G2 expands its product offering to advertising agencies, print shops and newspaper plants.

Bernie Hockings, director of G2 Solutions says the two companies have been providing affordable solutions to local printers for many years. “We are pleased to be introducing the KeySetter product to the region because it helps fulfil our mission of providing economical solutions that enhance the production capabilities of our customers.”

Operating in conjunction with existing prepress software or as an add-on to existing Xitron Navigator systems, KeySetter pressroom solutions reduce make-ready time and materials by as much as 90 per cent by pre-setting the ink keys (ducts) on the press.

Three versions are available:

• KeySetter Light – produces a simple chart of the ink key settings that can be printed or saved as a PDF file.
• KeySetter Pro – produces a specific file format for presses that require ink key setting data in a proprietary format.
• KeySetter Connect – provides the greatest level of automation in the pressroom by direct connection to the press console

Mark Eisenschenk, CEO of Xitron says G2 has been it’s primary Australian distributor for prepress products for over a decade, so “it made sense that we expand our relationship with G2 to help move us into Australia’s pressrooms.”
