Galley Club call out for entries
Entries open for The Galley Club's 32nd annual Awards for Excellence in Book and Magazine Production.
Books, periodicals and non-standard items published between 1 January 2007 and 31 December 2007 where the major creative content is of Australian origin are eligible for consideration.
"We are expecting a good response and another excellent awards night," said president, Michael Schulz.
Schulz also welcomed Kayell on board as the major sponsor for the awards this year. "With Kayell, we have found a sponsor that is relevant for all areas of production, including publishers, designers and one and offshore printers," he said. "Kayell's work in simplifying colour management is especially commendable."
According to Robert Gatto, sales manager of Kayell, the decision to sponsor the Galley Club was a way for the company to develop its reputation in the publishing area. "This year we are looking at changing our focus to make people more aware of the fact that we are not just a one-product-company for the graphic arts, we have a family of products to provide solutions," Gatto said.
"Colour management and remote proofing is a very big concern for publishers and something which they are striving to get better results with everyday. This sponsorship will help to raise our profile in that market."
