Galley Club News: Digital discussion draws a crowd
Over 75 publishers, designers and printers attended the Galley Club's recent seminar on digital content. For those who missed out, there's more socialising coming up.
The Digital Content seminar consisted of four key speakers: Anna Maguire, head of production and interactive, Random House; Michael Garas, general manager - Information Technology; Dymocks; Zoe Rodriguez, Copyright Agency Limited and Chris Stephens, Read How You Want.
The four discussed issues such as the repurposing digital content; the various digital formats; publishing and web strategies; cross media publishing; POD; the second coming of e-book readers; the role of p-books in the media mix and the often quoted music industry example.
Next up for the club is its Happy Hour Drinks on 13 May at the Harbourview Hotel in The Rocks from 6.30pm. For more information see www.galleyclubsydney.org.au/
