GAMAA gives APIA helping hand with $15K donation
Australasian Paper Industry Association gains the support of another industry body with $15,000 donation from GAMAA.
Mitchell Mulligan, (pictured) president of GAMAA, said that while the group was only relatively new, it was still worthwhile of support. “GAMAA is committed to working towards a sustainable print industry and part of that commitment means supporting new industry initiatives that may meet this objective. We acknowledge the paper - part of everyday campaign is in its infancy, but GAMAA is keen to lend its support to see where this campaign can go and how it may impact perceptions in the broader marketplace in relation to print,” he said.
This is not the only association that GAMAA supports. Mulligan added that the group would continue to get behind others. “GAMAA will continue to work with the other associations in our industry to find the best solutions in order to promote print as an effective and vibrant part of the communications mix,” he said.
The news does, however, represent a major move forward for APIA. Industry association, GASAA, announced that it would donate money from its up-coming PrintWorks exhibition to APIA. The group also recently managed to sign up two of Australia’s largest printers, PMP and IPMG, proving that support is growing at a rapid rate.
