GASAA sets the standard with Truly Colour approval

Following on from its Truly Green program, GASAA has launched a new initiative, Truly Colour Approval, to confirm that printers meet ISO 1264-7 standard.

According to Garry Knespal, (pictured) GASAA executive officer, the Truly Colour Approval will be valid for 12 months and is an Australia-wide, independent ISO colour recognition.

“[It] has been designed to meet the increasing demands of print buyers and print management firms for independent, nationally recognised approval of colour print standards,” he said.

“It will fill the void that currently exists between the international and local vendor validations, often part of new equipment and software purchases.”

As part of the process, GASAA will provide printers with an obligation-free, no-cost initial assessment as to how close their current set-up is to international colour standards.

Knespal said that is the results are outside of ISO tolerances, firms can work internally or with a colour consultant to submit for Truly Colour Approval. “CMYKit will guide firms through achieving ISO and GASAA’s industry requirements over a manageable timeframe for a fixed price,” he added.
