GASAA survey to lower Workcover costs for digital printers

The group has asked WorkCover NSW to consider a lower insurance premium rate for firms with significant digital print capabilities. GASAA has submitted that the nature of digital printing is less risk adverse than WorkCover might expect.

But for any changes to occur, WorkCover NSW needs to profile the digital print sector, and gain an understanding of the claims experience of the group. GASAA said that while WorkCover can review its records of NSW printers, it needs industry assistance to identify those firms that are solely, or mainly digital printers. GASAA is currently asking for members to complete a questionnaire to authorise WorkCover to include their firms’ claims experience in its overall review.
