GASAA works to keep paper part of every day

Industry body, GASAA, to donate a portion of the revenue from this year’s PrintWorks Expo to APIA.

GASAA has become the first to join with the Australasian Paper Industry Association (APIA), and make a formal and financial commitment to the paper – part of every day promotional campaign.

According to APIA president, Bernard Cassell, (pictured) this support will assist greatly. “We’ve had many leading firms already sign up to the industry-wide campaign, and with GASAA’s strong financial support in allocating proceeds from its September PrintWorks Expo, momentum is really building for a lasting approach,” he said.

GASAA’s national president, David Leach, said that the financial support was the group’s way of supporting the industry and its evolution. “The GASAA Executive resolved very early to take a proactive and positive position in the call for one industry marketing voice, and has been impressed with the lead taken by APIA to initially fund and drive this cohesive and focused campaign,” he said.

“When we looked at how we could financially assist, our executive felt directing funds from the industry event, PrintWorks 2010, was an important way to ‘give back’ to the industry in a very tangible way.”

PrintWorks 2010 will be held in September this year.
