Girl power takes centre stage at RMIT Industry Training Awards

21-year-old Danielle Mueller,an apprentice at Digital Graffiti in Sandy Bay, Tasmania was awarded 'Apprentice of the Year' and 25-year-old Angela Clarke, a graduand from the Diploma of Printing and Graphic Arts (Multimedia) took out 'Graduate of the Year'. Angela is now employed by Kwik Kopy in Camberwell; her employer, Matt Stoll, pointed out that whenever there is a problem, he can rely on Angela to "get out her magic wand" and fix it.

The judging panel admitted that it was difficult to choose the prize winners at this year's 56th annual presentation and both Danielle and Angela recalled being "surprised" but nonetheless excited to receive their awards. RMIT's International Centre of Graphic Technology (ICGT) said that the night was a success, drawing a crowd of 400 who gathered to acknowledge the achievements of apprentices and graduates across the printing training packages in Victoria and Tasmania.
