Gold for every state at NPA

Print companies from each state in Australia will share the limelight at the industry’s night of nights.

Like last year, judging the 2011 National Print Awards was once again difficult due to the high calibre of entries, according to chairman John Wanless.

Wanless (pictured) confirmed that each state will have its chance to shine on the night. “There will be gold medals for each state,” he said. “All states have been represented in the gold winners.

Competition is fierce and Wanless believes that the determination to win brings out the best amongst players. “A lot of companies strive to win gold,” he said. “As an event, it’s a great chance for the industry to get together and support one another. Really, we need to support each other and work together in this industry.”

Last year’s National Print Awards were a victory for the sunshine state with Tom Lusch’s Platypus Graphics taking out the highest number of awards on the night.

Coinciding with PrintEx meant that all of the tables booked for this year’s awards have already sold out. Wanless said that additional tables have now been ordered to cater for the demand.

Entries can be viewed throughout the three-day show next week.
