The Currie Roadshow winds up its Adelaide leg today before the iconic 22-wheel mobile showroom takes off across the Nullarbor for next week’s event in Perth.
Currie’s demonstration truck yesterday attracted crowds of local printers to the West Adelaide Football club at the City Mazda Stadium for a unique opportunity to get up close to inspect an array of the latest in graphic arts equipment. Today is the second and final day of the Adelaide stopover and runs from 9am to 4pm.
Bernie Robinson, managing director, Currie Group, will again be on hand to support local personnel and invites the South Australian printing industry to come along and check out the truck’s complete digital printing production plant.
One of the aims of the Roadshow is to allow printers who do not make the journey to trade shows, such as PrintEx in Sydney, to be able to see the latest releases. “We bring the equipment to our customers. I know they really appreciate it,” said Robinson.
Onboard the mobile showroom is enough equipment to drive a total print shop, including:
HP Indigo 3550 Digital Press
Horizon RD-4055 Rotary Die-cut System
Horizon CRF-362 Creaser & Folder
Horizon BQ-280 PUR Perfect Binder
Horizon APC-610 Hydraulic Paper Cutter
Foliant Vega 530 Laminator
Glenn Dunnet, Currie’s veteran truck driver, will next pilot the showroom to Perth where it will be open to the public for three days outside the Group’s offices in Osborne Park:
Tuesday 17th November: 9.30am – 5.00pm
Wednesday 18th November: 9.30am – 7.00pm
Thursday 19th November: 9.30am – 5.00pm
WA printers are invited to register their interest in attending the Perth event
