Sydney-based Gopher Graphic Communications is in liquidation, the second time in four years the design, print and mail business owned by Ed Jones has hit the skids.
The liquidator is currently preparing a report for creditors which will be sent out in the next few days, Matthew Lu from Cor Cordis says it will contain a proposal.
Ed Jones refused to comment to Print21 when asked a series of questions, before putting the phone down.
Gopher Graphics went bust four years ago, or rather the holding company did, with the business controversially continuing to trade from the same premises as Gopher Graphic Communications since then.
At then time it went down with debts of $292,000 and with no realisable assets the creditors who incuded the ATO, printers SOS Print+Media and Elders Print, and mailing house Future Source, were left empty handed. Creditors this time around are likely to fare little better.
Former magazine salesman Jones started Gopher in 1989 when he saw the potential of desktop publishing.
