Graphic arts student tops NSW TAFE
The prepress graduate was one of 19 Sydney Institute students competing for the medal, which is presented annually for overall outstanding achievement in academic, industry, community and college life and attainment of personal goals.
Currently working as a creative assistant, Jennifer says she eventually hopes to take over her family’s business, Business & Tourism Publishing, a graphic arts company based in Sydney.
“I am enthusiastic about the future and have a clear vision of where I want my career to take me,” Jennifer says. “From the outset, it has always been my goal to eventually take over and build on the success of my family’s business.
“I want to achieve this goal on my own merit, through hard work, innovation and a winning attitude.”
According to Andrew Cappie-Wood, Director-General of Education and Training, at TAFE NSW, Jennifer is an outstanding example of the value of TAFE education. “As one of more than half a million students who chose TAFE NSW education and training last year, Jennifer’s outstanding efforts will continue to shine throughout her career as has become expected from graduates of TAFE NSW’s quality training,” he said.
