Greg Grace returns to run IBSA courses
Industry identity, Greg Grace, returns to print to run printing and graphic arts training package professional development workshops.
The well-known Grace, (pictured) who recently left his role at Heidelberg’s Print Media Academy in Melbourne, is set to resume a life of jet-setting around the trans-Tasman after being approached by the Innovation & Business Skills Australia to lead its ICP10 Printing and Graphic Arts Training Package throughout late July and August.
“I would love to see our good folk from the industry come along and see how they can use the training package to best suit their organisations. It is not a rigid package and can be modified to suit each organization,” said Grace. “For the first time digital printing has been included, which is really exciting.”

The industry information workshops will be held in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, from July through the August.
On top of this, he will also run a course to educate a Canberra-based printing company’s clients – to be held inside the printing business. “This will allow them to see how all stages of printing works,” Grace said. He will also teach those enrolled in PrintNZ’s diploma course.
This is a far cry from a retiree’s sedate life soaking up sunshine, but Grace is enjoying keeping busy.
“For the time being, I will stay in the industry,” he told Print21. “The main thing is not to go past your used-by-date. I’m having a year off from the LIA – I’ve been involved in it since the mid-70s and want some young people and new blood to come in.”
