Global print management firm Hague has appointed Mike Wheble as managing director, Australia, to drive the “rapid expansion” of its new Hague Australia business.
UK-based Hague, which operates in more than 50 companies, has provided security print solutions in Australia for the past five years before establishing Hague Australia in October 2015 and opening a new office in Sydney early this month. The company is now assessing a proposed factory location.
“There’s a lot of demand here and it’s definitely a growing market,” Wheble told Print21. “We currently provide secure print solutions like transcripts, testamurs and AHEG’s to 23 leading Australian universities, including ACU, ANU, Curtin, Deakin, Griffith, La Trobe, Macquarie, Uni Melbourne, Murdoch, New England, UNSW, QUT, Uni SA, Swinburne and Uni Tassie, as well as providing brand protection and security print solutions to banks, government agencies, retailers, TAFE’s, manufacturers and sporting venues,” he said.
“Our expertise helps protect organisational brands from attacks that undermine company revenue and destroy consumer confidence. With our experienced security consultancy service, we can design and implement effective solutions that help counter fraud.”
Hague Australia will also establish a technology division to bring new technologies to the education, retail, government and healthcare markets.
“We are delighted to officially have a base in Australia and to welcome Mike on board,” said Graham Wain, managing director at Hague. “He brings a wealth of experience having worked with some of the world’s most innovative companies and he will bring a wide range of unique solutions to our Australasian clients.”
Hague now has offices in Sydney and Melbourne.
