Hand on Heart; IPEX BBQ has the luck of the Irish!
What better way to entertain guests (and accompany the draught Guinness!) at the Great IPEX ANZ BBQ than with ‘Hand on Heart’ – a local Irish/ Celtic band of note, booked by fellow countryman Sean Brew, landlord of the Blue Boar Inn where the fun begins on April 7th.

Hand on Heart consists of two guys – Mike Keating and Mike Scott - and Nina Scott whose sweet but powerful voice is heard in many UK music venues. Between them they play fiddle, guitar, mandocello and bodhran (celtic drum) and sing like angels. Get ready for the jigs and reels folks!
Many have asked what the BBQ food will be on the day. Stringy snaggers? Limp beef slivers masquerading as steak? No! Food is the Blue Boar’s speciality – the restaurant is triple-crown status - and host Sean Brew outlines the fayre thus: “The menu will have steaks, home made lambburgers, various sausages, veggie kebabs, with fried onions and sword fish accompanied by chips and salad.”
