Hannanprint completes IPMG’s PSO rollout, NSW

IPMG’s third print site, Hannanprint, receives Fogra Process Standard Offset certification as standardised printing continues to penetrate the industry.

This makes Hannanprint the latest IPMG’ company to receive certification following on from Craft Inprint and Offset Alpine. It means that all of IPMG’s NSW offset plants are now Fogra PSO-certified for consistent and predictable colour reproduction to ISO 12647-2 standards.

For Tony Dedda, managing director of Hannanprint, the achievement will give his business an advantage in terms of both marketing and quality.

“This certification is highly prized and widely regarded as the toughest benchmark in the global print industry,” he said. “To achieve a perfect pass mark verifies Hannanprint’s ongoing and relentless commitment to quality.”

Hannanprint received a mark of 100 per cent during testing. Luke Wooldridge, Kayell’s colour specialist and partner of Fogra, oversaw the operation in its entirety, along with Craft Printing and Offset Alpine. “It is terrific to see the widening adoption of PSO throughout the group,” he said. “It is proof of IPMG management’s total commitment to quality and consistency on behalf of their customers.”

Robert Gatto, director of Kayell Australia, believes that achieving a mark of 100 is a rarity. “But it should be remembered that Fogra PSO is an on-going process with retesting every year to maintain certification,” he added.

After IPMG’s success in NSW, the group is now in the process of certifying its Queensland and Victoria operations. “The old days of finger-pointing when colour goes astray are ending fast,” warned Gatto. “PSO under Fogra is the stake-in-the-ground that unites all those involved in print production.”
