Several commercial print companies have signed up for Konica Minolta's offer of a free trip to drupa for customers who purchase KM's flagship bizhub C1100 or C1085 digital presses.
"It's exciting that the promotion has been so well supported," said Anthony Lewis, GM of Konica Minolta's production printing business. "Several commercial print company customers have already taken advantage of the offer and are absolutely on board and several others are still considering the offer. So we're very happy with the response. drupa is a major event that only happens every four years and we're challenging our customers to come and see what we're doing."
Konica Minolta's Drupa Experience Travel package, includes: single return economy airfare from Sydney or Perth to Düsseldorf; four nights’ accommodation including breakfast; entry into the drupa Trade Show 2016; and a ticket to the Konica Minolta Aussie BBQ. The offer continues until the end of March.
The company will also launch its new KM-1 UV sheetfed digital press at drupa.
"The quality on the KM-1 is unbelievable," said Lewis. "We've got five sites in beta testing this year - two in Europe, two in the US and one in Japan - and the feedback has been very good. It's delivering absolutely first class quality and the finished product comes out dry so there's considerable improvement in productivity. We have samples from the KM-1 that we've shared with customers here in Australia and there has been significant interest."
The sheetfed KM-1 press is due for release in Australia early in 2017.
