Heidelberg and Porsche collaborate for PacPrint
Collaboration between Heidelberg and Porsche will offer exciting and collectable print jobs at PacPrint.
Heidelberg will run a number of print jobs for Porsche Australia at PacPrint. The association with Porsche serves to show visitors how print can add value to a brand.
“Not only will PacPrint showcase Heidelberg’s innovative technology, but we have partnered with the iconic Porsche company to illustrate the how print media’s impact is second-to-none for brand communication,” says Alastair Hadley, General Manager Sales, Product Management and Marketing for Heidelberg Australia/New Zealand.
“Many people say that Heidelberg is the Rolls Royce of printing machines, but we prefer to think that we are the Porsche of presses. Finely engineered using hi-tech materials and built for HEI Performance, and long-lasting sustainability and customer appeal.
Pacprint is as much about print as is it about technology, and by running a range of Porsche jobs we can show how print is still a vital and important part of the media mix. When marketing and promotion methods are chosen, print will maximise the presence of a brand in the eyes of consumers.”
A similar approach was adopted by Heidelberg at drupa08, where most of the jobs demonstrated at the show were for Adidas.
Heidelberg Launches Consumables Rewards Program at PacPrint
At PacPrint Heidelberg will launch its consumables rewards program – the Heidelberg Advantage Program.
Two years ago Heidelberg launched its Online Shop, allowing customers to order Saphira consumables online and take advantage of 24/7 access to suit their production schedules. The online shop allows customers to utilise saved custom shopping lists to speed up the ordering process.
“Ordering consumables via the Online Shop has become the norm for many of our customers,” says Bill Wall, General Manager Consumables for Heidelberg Australia/New Zealand.
“It suits many smaller print shops because they can’t always leave their presses during the day if there are only a few people working in the factory. They need to do all their ordering after hours, and the Online Shop is ideal for this. For larger operations it suits because so many purchasing functions are automated these days, and we need to be offering the same level of service as all of their other suppliers,” Wall adds.
“We are launching the Heidelberg Advantage Program at PacPrint. One of the main themes for us at the show is HEI Value and HEI Performance, and central to this message is the added value customers can take advantage of when they purchase equipment or supplies from Heidelberg. Be it our superior customer support network, or our standard extended warranty on all new presses, we continue to support and work with our customers in many ways long after their equipment has been installed.
The Heidelberg Advantage program works like many other consumer reward programs, in that customers will earn points for each dollar spent on Saphira consumables ordered through the Online Shop. Those points can be redeemed for a range of rewards; from iPods to Apple Macs and from satellite navigators to plasma televisions.
Our aim with the Heidelberg Advantage Program is to reward our customers who already use the Online Shop, and to attract new customers to the Online Shop and Saphira consumables. Our consumables business has grown steadily over the past few years, and part of our growth plan has included the launch of a rewards program. I’m excited about how it will be received,” Wall finished.
