High flying Geon sponsors Westpac Rescue Helicopter
New Zealand Westpac Rescue Helicopter received not only sponsorship and large format printing from Geon.
Along with being its newest major sponsor, Geon also used its own large format machine and latest technology to print the logos that have been applied to the rear on the body of both machines, just behind the doors.
According to Geon executive general manager, Andrew Durrans, the company wanted to concentrate its sponsorship on a major initiative that has benefit and relevance to many New Zealanders.
“We have a responsibility to operate in a sustainable way and that includes giving back to the community in which our staff, clients and suppliers live and work. This sponsorship also reinforces Geon’s focus on health and safety,” he said.

One Geon staff member who was particularly proud to be supportive was Auckland receptionist Annette Brambor, who had first-hand experience with the service when she was in a car crash near Mangawhai Heads several years ago.
“The helicopter came to our rescue and because of it my two friends are fit and well today,” she said.
Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust chief executive, Bob Parkinson, thanked Geon for the sponsorship.
“We rely so heavily on our corporate sponsors to operate the service,” he said.
